My passion lies in developing rock solid user interfaces which promote a clear and lasting experience. I live to create elegant web applications, while focusing on usability, readability and accessibility. In my free time, I pursue my love for philosophy, politics, science and sports. It is my goal to help bring a better web experience to these communities.

Technical Developer
November 07 - Present
Knoxville, Tennessee
Designsensory (DS) is a web and print consultancy. As Technical Developer, it is my primary responsibility to develop a finished design into a functional, working replica on the web, testing and debugging a wide variety of modern and obsolete browsers. To a lesser degree, I also meet with potential clients, assisting them in expressing their project requirements and goals. I also assist in the day to day maintenance of past projects and see to it that our on-going client's needs are met and addressed quickly. Client relations is a very important pillar of our entire process. During the development phase, I communicate daily with our design team to ensure projects are properly being built and to help avoid any misunderstandings later down the road.
No website is complete without a handy content management system to go with. This is probably where I garner my most satisfaction. Building a custom interface with which a user has the fastest and easiest control over their content. My goal here is to make the process of adding, editing and deleting records ridiculously simple. I find this very challenging and very rewarding. While working at DS, I have greatly expanded my knowledge of the technical side of the web, but I have also realized the vast importance of communication and collaboration.
TransLand Financial Services
Junior Web Designer
December 06 - October 07
Orlando, Florida
TransLand (TFS) was my first experience in the industry. My role as junior web designer, was to design and develop flash and html applications for internal use. TFS is a financial services company which underwrites loans for home construction. The majority of my time was devoted to designing and developing an interface for an application used by loan officers and brokers. The application was built to make their day to day obligations much more manageable. During the process, I became fascinated with web applications and the user experience. I honed my skills in clean, minimal markup and set in motion my new goal of ultimately becoming an interface developer.
